Women are beating out the Men on Tirzepatide! [Forbes]

Hey everyone — as clinic director, this Forbes piece caught my eye because it matches something we watch in our own patient data.
The research: women are losing more weight than men on tirzepatide — better percentage results in the trials. And honestly? That tracks with what we see across our 1,300+ patients. Our women patients, as a group, are putting up remarkable numbers.
Why might women respond better? The theories being explored: hormonal interactions (estrogen and GLP-1 signaling appear to interact), differences in fat distribution and metabolism, and — my personal suspicion, no trial behind this one — that women, on average, follow the program more consistently. The protein targets, the check-ins, the water. Consistency is the multiplier on everything.
But here's what I DON'T want anyone taking from this headline: men, this doesn't mean these medications work less for you. Our male patients transform too — I should know, I'm one of them, down 60+ pounds myself. The 6% gap between groups is real but small compared to the gap between "on a real program" and "trying to do this alone," for ANYONE.
The bigger story is the one the headline buries: these medications work well enough, across different bodies, that researchers can now study the nuances of WHO they work best for. That's a luxury problem. Ten years ago we had nothing that worked at all.
Ladies, the data is on your side. Gents, so is mine — I checked. Everyone: come talk to us.
