Posting my latest results, just about 5 weeks after my last post.
Our Styku 3D Scanner is an amazing tool that really allows us to track and measure patient progress. As I mentioned last month, these scans are critical to helping us understand our patients progress beyond just what the scale will show.
With weight loss - too often people focus exclusively on seeing that one value (their weight) go down - even at times to their own detriment. They may not get enough protein, they may not do any physical activities (or not much) and they end up losing fat (yay!) but they also lose muscle mass (boo!). This can lead to what some have coined "Ozempic Face" - where patients can look a bit sickly, or their face droops because they lose muscle mass, and collegen in their faces.
We track this with these scans, and check in with our patients regularly to ensure they are getting plenty of water, protein and activity/exercise.
There are four pics taken from my latest Styku progress report (which we provide to patients for free each month)....
1) My profile view from end of April to today (Oct 4th).
2) Progress views from the side and front. Note improvements in posture! And how much my fatty thighs have retracted over time in the front view.
3) Graphs showing my % of fat/muscle changes along with the raw lbs for each. Note: While I lost 24lbs of fat, I did add 13lbs of muscle. So the scale during that time only shows an 11lb change. But as you can see from my body photo's - my health is way better than just an 11lb change over those few months.
4) Area graphs showing how many inches I've been losing
