Getting to "OnederLand"

If you haven't heard the term: "OnederLand" is what the weight loss community calls the moment your scale drops below 200 — when that big "1" shows up at the front of your weight for the first time in years. For a lot of people it's not just a number. It's a victory over old habits, self-doubt, and every health scare that came with the old number.

As of today, July 17th, 2025 — I am back in OnederLand. First time in at least 15 years.

Quick history, like always: I started GLP-1 medication in March 2024 at 255 lbs, after hitting a high of 270 at the start of that year. Those first 15 pounds I lost the traditional way over three months, and they were NOT easy. The 60 since? Genuinely easier, far less stressful, and — the part that matters most — maintainable. That's the medication doing its job while I do mine.

I've watched a lot of our patients hit their own OnederLand now, across 1,300+ at our clinics. I've seen grown adults get emotional seeing that "1" on their scan day. There are usually tears and hugs — and always more encouragement from our staff, because the next milestone is already waiting.

And I'm not just a Clinic Director saying this. I'm a patient here too, following the same advice we give everyone:

1. Drink your water — half an ounce per pound of body weight, every day

2. Hit your protein — 100g minimum, no negotiating

3. Move — nothing heroic, just consistent

4. Trust the process, especially when the scale has a dumb week

OnederLand is real, and it's closer than you think.
