Exactly 1 Year Later....

An update on my own Journey. March 22, 2024 I took my first dosage of Tirzepatide.

52 weeks later, I’ve lost 53 pounds, which is 12 pounds from my goal weight of 190. I averaged 1 pound per week, but if you look at the graphs at the bottom, I hit a plateau or set point for three solid months (October, November, and December) where I barely lost 2 pounds. It was frustrating, but it wasn’t game-ending.

The medication helps, but it’s not a magic solution. I still have to follow the same priorities that we ask of our patients:

1) Prioritize protein intake (aim for 100 grams or more per day).

2) Drink at least half of my body weight in ounces of water.

3) Ensure I get 10 to 15 minutes of physical activity every day.

It has been a few decades (20 years at least) since I've been in size 36 pants. Slipping into them definitely feels good.
